COOL Youth Center Volunteer Opportunity TITLE:   Meal Provider DESCRIPTION:  This is an ideal group volunteer opportunity! The meal provider purchases, prepares and serves a meal to approximately 45 kids, grades 1-12 of the COOL Youth Center and 10 volunteers. Well-balanced meals including fruits, vegetables, protein, whole grains and milk are appreciated. Meals are provided as part of our after-school program. RESPONSIBILITIES: Purchase and prepare the food for 45- 50 kids, including milk. Serve the meal at 6:00 p.m. Perform cleanup of serving supplies, eating area and kitchen. Fill out meal record form for statistical and liability purposes. DAY & TIMES: Mondays and Tuesdays during the school year. TIME COMMITMENT: 3 hours per shift plus additional time for planning, purchasing and preparing the meal. Volunteers may arrive at 5:00 p.m. to start their meal preparation.
