INSTEP Center for Families

INSTEP (INnovative Supports To Empower Parents) is a licensed, part-time childcare program serving children and families who fall through the cracks of traditional government programs. INSTEP makes care accessible to families who do not qualify for subsidy, are seeking or waiting for permanent childcare, or cannot afford or require traditional full-time models.

For many children, INSTEP is the only formalized education they will receive before entering kindergarten. Our Family Support Advocate provides culturally relevant family advocacy and supportive services for INSTEP families. Instruction is available in English and in Spanish and all lessons and activities are culturally appropriate.

The mission of INSTEP is to provide low cost, consistent, quality, temporary childcare for families who have no other child care alternatives and who need the care in order to advance toward self-efficacy, family health and economic independence. Families served by INSTEP come from many different parts of the world and speak a variety of languages. COOL Youth Center

COOL Youth Center The COOL Youth Center is a neighborhood based, family oriented program that provides high-quality, after-school and summer programming for youth ages six through 18. Youth receive tutoring and homework help, and also have opportunity to attend special field trips, service opportunities in the community, and other leadership-focused activities.

We believe that an investment in youth through intentional relationships will provide positive impacts later in life in the areas of school performance, social and emotional development, preparation for the work force, and better health.

COOL meets Monday, Tuesday and Thursday during the school year. Instruction is available in English and in Spanish. Transportation to and from the program can be arranged, and a warm, home-cooked meal is provided. Call us today and find out how you can be COOL! Read more about COOL Youth
